We were present at HP Communications World in Hamburg and we met one of the legends of the mobile industry: Tomi Ahonen. Tomi wrote several books (one better than the other) and some of his concepts are an inspiration for the Qootia team. We had a great discussion about our product and future perspectives. Tomi was positively impressed by the innovation done in Slovenia in general (MarandLab, 3fs, Zemanta…) and he took the time to write a blog post about his impressions of Qootia. Make sure you read it.

Last year we won the innovation award at the HP Comm World in Vienna – this year we showed our progress as we grew from a concept to several implementations. We will keep you updated as we go forward, since 2010 looks to be a great year for applying our ideas on the market. We can’t wait!

p.s.: we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a beautiful 2010 ;)

Among the Telco Superstars

28/10/2009

We are extremely proud that we had the opportunity to give a lightning talk at the Emerging Communications Conference (@eCommConf) along with superstars like Martin Geddes from BT, Bob Frankston (inventor of VisiCalc) and Mark Rolston (from Frog Design) just to name a few.

We’ve got some great feedback and suggestions and we are happy that people see the potential in our product.

We are going to Over the Air – a two day conference/ hackathon held in London, UK.

Qootia will be presented in a lightning talk, as part of the Teenage Dragon’s Den – Insights from Real Teens. We are glad to be in the lineup and hope to get valuable feedback from teenagers.

Qootia offers a platform that enables interaction with content on public digital displays via mobile devices (by making a call, sending an SMS, MMS or Tweet). We feel teenagers are an important segment and that our platform is the perfect tool to impress them, engage with them and start a long term communication with them.

If you are around Over the Air you can contact us via our Twitter persona or ping Tomaz directly.
